Homework: study for ocean quiz
Today we completed a lab to see what it's like to use tools to determine the subsurface topography of the ocean. Don't forget that there's an ocean quiz tomorrow!
Homework: study for ocean quiz I finally got the water to (almost) boil and we had a water cycle in a jar! Woohoo! We'll see watch what happens to the salt water over the next couple of weeks ... hmmmm ... Today students finished their water cycle diagrams (drawings) with labels AND descriptions. If students finished early, I had iPads so they could play the quizizz for the social studies test tomorrow.
Homework: finish ocean floor diagram with labels AND descriptions * Heads up: ocean quiz this Friday! Know your subsurface topography ;) Today we added a bit to our notes from yesterday, and then worked on labeling/describing ocean floor physical features. As students finished that, they began creating their own diagram. We'll finish those tomorrow.
Homework: none Today we watched a Brain Pop video on the ocean floor, and then took some notes and discussed salinity, temperature and pressure of ocean water and what the ocean floor looks like if we were to drain all of the water out.
Homework: none Students finished their water cycle comic/narrative and took a water cycle quiz.
