Homework: look both ways before crossing the street and stay with a buddy if you go trick or treating. Love you!!
Today we did a lab on the unequal rates of heating and cooling for land and water. The graphing was problematic for some, but I will show my example tomorrow via document camera so DON'T STRESS! It is NOT homework! Go have fun and BE SAFE tonight! KitKat and Reece's are my favorite. Just saying.
Homework: look both ways before crossing the street and stay with a buddy if you go trick or treating. Love you!! Today included some assessment of reading comprehension skills via questions from a packet. Answers should have been written on notebook paper and stapled to the page with the questions.
Homework: finish questions Today we watched a couple video clips and then took notes on how the unequal heating of the earth causes winds- specifically global winds.
Homework: none Today we did a concept check on heat transfer, turned in the CCR (convection, conduction, radiation) chart from yesterday, and completed a KWL for Bill Nye: Wind (found HERE).
Homework: none Today I collected some data from a ticket in the door, took some notes about heat transfer, and then worked on a chart about conduction, convection, and radiation.
Lava lamp! Oooooh!!! Aaaaaah!!! Homework: finish the CCR chart (conduction, convection, radiation)- use the book and/or your notes Today we went over the book work- YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR BOOK AT SCHOOL EACH DAY! If you lost your book, see me about paying for a new one. We also watched a video clip from Bill Nye's Heat episode and sang a song about conduction, convection, and radiation (look under the "videos" tab if you want to listen to or sing along with it again).
Homework: none I had a sub today- make sure your Mr. Troposphere assignment gets finished.
Today we began an assignment about Mr. Troposphere. See below for more details.
Homework: Mr. Troposphere assignment due Wednesday Assignment options: 1.Create trading cards for each of the layers of the atmosphere where on one side is a symbol representing that layer’s superhero and the back explains their super powers based on the characteristics of that atmospheric layer. Color and complete sentences are required. 2.Create a comic strip showing Mr. Troposphere saving the day- remember his super powers resemble the characteristics of the troposphere. 3.Write a newspaper/magazine article about the disappearance of Mr. Troposphere and how that will affect citizens’ daily lives. Today students completed a flipbook about the characteristics of the four main layers of the atmosphere: thermosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere, troposphere.
Homework: none Today we finished the atmosphere webquest. Below are the links.
