Today students took their travel experience from yesterday and worked on an assignment: either a comic strip or narrative explaining what it was like (including scientific terms) to travel as a water molecule. We'll finish those tomorrow before/after the quiz.

Tomorrow you will create either a comic strip or narrative based on your experiences and travels today.
Homework: none Today we completed the graphing Earth's water assignment, then drew, labeled, and wrote the definition for each part of the water cycle.
Homework: finish water cycle diagram with labels and definitions- see below for the picture we used in class. Today we watched a Bill Nye video about the water cycle and then worked on a Graphing Earth's water assignment. Happy first day of the hydrology unit!
Homework: none Today was the last bit of class time provided to add finishing touches to student Extreme Weather projects. Those who finished early received an extension by watching Bill Nye: Storms.
Homework: none Today was a workday for the Extreme Weather powerpoint project. It is due at the end of class tomorrow; you will have time to work on it tomorrow, but those that are done will be watching a Bill Nye video on storms.

Homework: finish project packet for tornadoes and hurricanes In order to provide as much time as possible on computers for the project, we will take the vocabulary quiz tomorrow (we won't have computers tomorrow). Today students began working on their PPT. The goal was to include all of thunderstorms information, set up the layout for tornadoes and hurricanes, add pictures for each, and save/share with me. Tomorrow we will take the vocabulary quiz and complete the notes page for tornadoes and hurricanes.
Homework: study for vocabulary quiz- CLICK HERE FOR QUIZLET LINK Today we made a flipbook about the characteristics of air masses, completed the thunderstorms part of the project notes page, and then studied for the vocabulary quiz. Notes for the project: safety procedures can be found on pages 314 and 315 of the textbook, and look at "severe thunderstorm" and what it contains for thunderstorm classification. You should NOT use Google.

Flu season is upon us and I just opened my last bottle of Germ-X! Eeek! Germy Jr. is hungry- feed him! Water bottles are convenient, but spills are inevitable.
