Homework: finish solar and lunar eclipse page
We watched some videos of eclipses (see "videos" tab on this website and scroll down), a brain pop video on eclipses, read a NewsELA article about phases of the moon, and then completed a page about solar and lunar eclipses. Remember: there must be an object blocking light in order to cast a shadow!
Homework: finish solar and lunar eclipse page We did a lot today! First, students completed a ticket in the door quick assessment, we watched a video from the South Pole, students took notes on eclipses, and then did book work.
Homework: finish book work, if needed: pages 134-136 #11-17 AND page 137 #1-9 Today students completed a visual and descriptive matching activity for the phases of the moon, then completed the diagram from the textbook for the phases of the moon. The diagram was on pages 132-133 and required both moon pictures drawn (with correct shading and phase labeled) and all of the purple words written as well (on the back of the paper is fine if there's not enough room).
